How Our Financing Plan Works

Your Responsibilities

• Select a house plan that best fits your needs.
• Choose the site for your new home.
• You collect bids for labor and/or materials from subcontractors.
• Act as your own general contractor, employing subcontractors when necessary.
• Save money by doing some of the labor yourself. (You can get the help of friends and relatives.)
• Make all decisions with our guidance.

Our Responsibilities

• Help arrange low-cost construction financing with our local lending partner.
• You bring a set of blueprints to Chelsea Lumber Company.
• Chelsea Lumber Company completes a materials estimate for you.
• Your Chelsea Lumber Company representative meets with you to transfer your bids to Chelsea Lumber’s worksheet and mutually agree on a dollar amount needed to complete the project.
• Supply the materials you elect to buy from our large inventory of high-quality building products. We’ll deliver the materials to your building site, and we’ll bill at our lowest cash-and-carry prices.
• Give you guidance from footing to finish. You can use as much or as little of our help as you want. Your own Construction Professional is only a phone call away.
